Rev. Charlotte Gompertz
Vicar
Rev Charlotte has been our vicar since November 2019. She was ordained in 2016 and prior to ordination worked as a youth and children’s worker and a mental health nurse. Charlotte is a movie nerd and is not shy to declare her love for Doctor Who as well as Jesus! She is married to Adam who is a pioneer minister and automotive artist. They live in the Vicarage with their grown up children and 2 dogs Ripley and Murphy. You can contact her via email here
Helen Gallagher
Reader
Helen has been a licensed Reader since 2000 serving in hospital and prison chaplaincies as well as parish churches. Prior to that she was an Inspector with West Midlands Police retiring on the birth of her twin daughters, Harriet and Freya who are both teachers. Married to John, a retired accountant, they enjoy foreign travel, sport, gardening and fine malt whisky.

John has been organist at Christ Church since September 2008 playing for our 9am services on Sunday mornings as well as at other major services throughout the year. Until Covid struck he directed our church choir and has plans for bringing back singing into our worship when it is safe to do so. Watch this space!
Outside Church, John was for seven years the Musical Director of the Yeomans Singers and accompanist of Shrewsbury Choral and spends the rest of his time teaching piano and composing. His “Requiem - in an age of anxiety” composed during the pandemic lockdown receives its debut performance this Autumn.
